You do not have access the the internal sponge. Therefore a small modification must be made to the cartridge. Once the cartridge has been modified you will be able to refill it up to 8 times.
MODIFYING THE CARTRIDGE
Spread several layers of old newspapers over your work area. Hold
the cartridge with the label facing you. In the top right hand corner
you will see a small vent hole.
Use the drill to enlarge the vent hole. Back out the drill and rinse
it off in water. You are now ready to inject the ink.
INJECTING THE INK
Before you inject the ink tape the ink exit hole using the aluminum tape
provided. This will prevent the ink from flowing out when you are
injecting. Using the syringe draw 15cc of ink from the bottle.
Insert the needle into the vent hole as far as it will go. Slowly
inject the ink into the cartridge. If the ink is bubbling out of the
fill hole, you are injecting too fast.
Pause every once in a while to let the sponge soak up the ink. Do
not push the syringe down so far as to plug the hole. Air must be
allowed to escape while you are injecting the ink.
Rinse the syringe in warm water and store in a safe place for future use. Install the cartridge back in the printer, you can begin printing immediately. There is no need to put tape over the vent hole or to remove the aluminum tape from the ink exit hole.
