EPSON 400/600/800/1520
1. Seal the outlet hole(s) in the base of the cartridge with the aluminum tape provided. A separate piece over each hole is preferred.
2. Fill the syringe with 10 ml. of black ink 5 ml. of color ink. Push needle through the label into the sponge of the correct filling hole. Very slowly inject ink into the sponge until the cartridge is full.
3. Seal the holes(s) made in the top label with the aluminum tape provided. If the holes are not sealed properly the cartridge will leak.
4. Unused ink can be returned to the bottle. Clean the syringe with warm water and dry for future use, or use with a different color ink.
5. Replace the cartridge leaving the adhesive tape on the outlet hole(s). This is correct you need to leave the tape on the bottom of the cartridge. The printer needs the tape to tell it is a new cartridge. The printer has a pressure sensor that senses the pressure of the tape being punched by the print heads, this tells the computer that you have a full cartridge.
6. Run 1 - 3 cleaning cycles as per printer instructions. If necessary leave cartridge in printer for up to 3 hours. This allows the ink to flow to the bottom of the cartridge.
